First off: I hate the taste of Avocados. I have been looking to replace my Olive Oil. Next to my Raw Organic Coconut oil, this is now my favorite oil! It does not smell or taste like avocados. Instead it has a nice buttery smell. It will not change the flavor of your food only enhance it. I was skeptical, So I only ordered one bottle. Save yourself some money and just order the 2 pack. If you are using Olive Oil I bet you will just love this as I believe it is so much better.

Questions I had before buying:
*It comes in a dark glass bottle.
*The expiration date was roughly a year out from date of purchase
*It comes with a certified Non GMO verified Label
*Cold Pressed extraction

On a Personal Note:
I took another reviewers advice and made homemade mayo with it. I got the recipe off the internet. It did not turn out at all and I wasted ½ cup of oil. The directions said use an immersion blender and I used my good Vitamix. It was runny. It... Read more

For most of my life, we used olive oil for everything. We didn't know about smoking points and that kind of stuff. This oil is phenomenal. We never have off odors or rancid tastes from it because of the high temps it handles. This particular product I prefer to the taste of Spectrum. Perhaps it keeps its flavors better due to the dark bottle glass. Now it's such a key part of our lives, I even pack a bottle to cook for kids while traveling.

I was looking for an oil that had minimal taste and could be used to oil a stove top cast iron skillet. The other oils I had at my disposal have a lower smoking point so I needed something that could stand the heat of an open flame.
I've used the skillet many times with no problems. The oil worked like advertised and I'm very happy with it. There is no "avocado" taste so I've used the oil in salads as well for the added health benefits.
One thing that I would recommend for others looking for such an oil is to only use this oil with non-fatty food on one side of the skillet (if it is a two sided skillet) . Animal fats are not as heat resistant as this oil so any residue will smoke if you use both sides.
