4.0 out of 5 stars All green waiting for growth, May 7, 2014
I could not wait to get some Wisteria to plant on my fence. The flowers are beautiful and fragrant. As soon as I received the packages in the mail (I ordered 2 - 2 packs 4 plants total) I soaked the roots in warm water as per the instructions for several hours. Because it was still very cold where I live (PA) I could not plant outside right away. I have an enclosed porch that is heated and gets full sun most of the day so I potted them and placed them in windows. After about 3 weeks I saw green buds and only a few days after the buds appeared they began to take off.... They look like little trees now. I just recently transplanted them outside now that the danger of frost is no longer an issue. so far they are doing well just waiting to see more growth through the upcoming summer.

It's impossible to review much more than delivery as it takes a few years for the plants to grow enough to say whether they are going to be great. Delivery was quite fast. What you get are a couple of fat sticks about a foot long with a little bit of root. Those sticks were wrapped well and properly kept damp for shipping. That's not unusual for bare root plants so a buyer shouldn't get uptight about receiving "sticks" instead of what looks more like a plant. I planted mine in larger pots because it was still too early to work the actual soil. One started showing signs of growing in a couple of weeks and by a month, you could tell it was doing OK. The other was still a just stick poked into dirt.

I waited 2 months and the second was still a stick while the other was rooting and growing. More than once I had given up and decided to toss the stick on the compost. Low and behold...here we are 70 days later and that stick has suddenly sprung to life and is... Read more
