Product Description
Blue Moon Wisteria vine Wisteria macrostachya 'Blue Moon' Wisteria macrostachya, sometimes commonly called Kentucky Wisteria, is a deciduous vine that is native to the South central U. S. It is a less aggressive grower than some of the other wisterias, but is well noted for its excellent winter hardiness & ability to produce flowers in USDA zones 3-4 'Blue Moon' is a cultivar that grows to 15-25' & features 6-12" long racemes of fragrant, pea-like, blue flowers that bloom in June with 1-2 additional flushes of bloom occurring in summer. Flowers bloom somewhat simultaneously on the racemes thus producing a dramatic floral display. Flowers give way to pendant, velvety, bean-like seed Pods (4-5" long) which ripen in Autumn & may persist into winter. Stems twine counter-clockwise & are clad with compound, odd-pinnate, deep green leaves. Over time, the stems of this vine become twisted & trunk-like. 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastically well packed; arrived in great shape, May 3, 2018

The plant was very well wrapped. When UPS texted me and let me know the shipping was delayed on route (and let me be clear, on the UPS end, not the sellers), I assumed it would arrive DOA. Not the case at all; very well wrapped, soil still moist. The plant was slightly droopy from it's days in the dark, but when put in the ground perked right up... I mean within three hours perked up - I planted, watered, came back out three hours later and it was happy as could be. Nice healthy little plant and size as expected (about 14" tall with multiple shoots starting off the main vine).

This plant arrived so well wrapped, I couldn't believe it. It is now growing like CRAZY! And I've had to be "stern" with it as it acts like it has a mind of its own as to where it wants to wrap itself! You won't believe me until you've tried to "raise" one. The blessed thing is truly alive! LOL

1.0 out of 5 stars Not vigorous. Loosely replanted in larger pot (still not quart). Young new-rooted cutting. Disappointing for the price., May 29, 2018
This was one of three plants I ordered online. As with the other two, although they were allegedly from a different distributor, they had the same state ID stamp and were packaged in the same way. Not a quart pot at all. We had a nursery for years and I know pot sizes and this is not a quart.. It was a loosely rooted cutting, transferred to a pot much bigger than the roots -- ie., newly repotted. It was alive. I repotted it, and am nursing it along. For this price (and the other two I ordered online were in similar state) I would expect a thriving plant. I won't be ordering any more plants online. Just can't expect it to be as ordered.
