5.0 out of 5 stars Great features and value, June 5, 2017

I use this daily as a desk clock and occasionally as an alarm clock when I'm napping on the couch. This little clock has some powerful features for the price. It's small-ish but large enough to see the time from across the room when the lights are on. I love the temperature gauge and the date/day index. I cannot set the temp. in my old apartment but I like knowing what temp. it is -- this is the first time I've ever had a thermostat feature in my apt. The same with the date/day index, which means I have a mini calendar on my desk for the first time. The clock is relatively easy to set using the buttons on the back and on the top. And it's easy to use as an alarm clock, with the alarm getting progressively louder if you ignore it. The snooze is the larger button and as long as you're paying attention, you probably won't accidentally turn off your alarm when you're intending to get just a few more minutes of shut-eye.

Possible Con: the clock time is not visible in the dark... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A quality product, well-built, not cheap-looking, December 16, 2016
I recently purchased this clock. My initial reaction while unpacking and examining the clock was very positive. The clock appeared to be well made, and certainly not cheap-looking. Now that I've had the clock hanging in my office for four days, I'm pleased with the purchase. The aspect I like the most is the night light and the sensor. The light comes on when the room is darkened, and it does not have to be totally dark to activate the light. The brightness of the light, for me, is just right. If the room is dark or mostly dark, the intensity of the light is not overwhelming. It is not bright enough to allow you to see anything else in the room, but it's easy for me to see the hands and numbers from 15 to 20 feet away. I also like that it's battery operated, only, so hiding cords or locating the clock near an outlet is unnecessary. My only minor complaint is the price. Too high, in my opinion. But, perhaps I would change my mind if I could do a side-by-side comparison of... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Best battery operated backlit clock, September 3, 2016
Perfect light level, they really do figured this out. It's amazing to me how few battery operated clocks (digital or analog) are on Amazon that do a good job of telling time at night. Most are either insanely bright or promise auto brightness that doesn't handle twilight.

This clock is so dim at night that you only know it's there when you look at it. Yet you can tell time in any level of ambient lighting.

Still, low quality Chinese manufacturing. Mine arrived with the minute hand bent, catching the second hand. There's no access inside this clock. No screews. I had to pry the face off -- it was just attached with double-sided tape -- to straighten the minute hand. There was probably a good chance it could've cracked.
